Desizing enzyme H8809 is an α-amylase produced by bacillus subtilis through enzymatic fermentation. It breaks down starch into soluble substances, which can then be easily removed by enzyme washing without damaging the textile fibers.

The standard activity of the desizing enzyme is as follows:

Desizing enzyme H8809 activity: 120 KUN/g. This product is a brown liquid with a slight odor of typical fermentation products and has a density of 1.1 g/ml.

Activity Assay: 1 KUN refers to the amount of enzyme required to hydrolyze 5.26 g of starch per hour. This Novo assay can be performed under the following standard conditions:

Substrate: Soluble starch

pH: 5–6

Ca2+: 0.0043 M

Time: 7–20 minutes

Temperature: 37°C

² The active enzyme components of desizing enzyme H8809 are highly soluble in water at all commonly used concentrations. Any cloudiness that may appear in the enzyme product does not affect its activity or other performance characteristics.

² Desizing enzyme H8809 is an α-amylase suitable for desizing processes conducted at temperatures ranging from room temperature to 70°C. Its stability is compatible with standard desizing equipment and processes.

² It is suitable for the rapid and efficient desizing of starch-coated fabrics in washing plants or dyeing and finishing mills.

[Packaging and Storage]

Packaged in 225 kg steel drums or 30 kg pails. Typically stored at 25°C, the product maintains its activity for at least 3 months. The shelf life increases as the temperature decreases. When stored below 5°C, the product retains its activity for at least 1 year.
